RICOH Antimicrobial Screen Protector
A safer and more hygienic way to operate your RICOH multifunction printer
The health and safety of staff is a key concern for many businesses. With RICOH’s Antimicrobial Screen Protector, you can better safeguard your employees against harmful bacteria4 that may be growing on the surface of your MFP’s touch panel. Our Antimicrobial Screen Protector fits seamlessly onto the touch panel to provide continuous protection and peace of mind.
How does it work?
The RICOH Antimicrobial Screen Protector generates silver ions (Ag+) from the sheet surface and connects with enzymes of bacteria, blocks replication, destroys cells and is fingerprint resistant. The proportion of bacteria on the surface of the product is 1/100 or less of that on the surface of a non-treated product, and the antimicrobial effect remains after durability tests.
Why is it important?
Protection and safety are important factors when operating office equipment. Post pandemic requirements have further reinforced the need for sanitisation and increased hygiene measures in the workplace.
SIAA Certified
RICOH Antimicrobial Screen Protector has been tested and officially certified to ISO 22196 international standards under SIAA (Society of Industrial Technology for Antimicrobial Articles).

- The amount of silver ions generated by the surface coating are affected by humidity and temperature.
- The manufacturer of the Screen Protector has applied the SIAA Marks to the Screen Protector. SIAA Marks may be applied to products which have been tested for antibacterial effectiveness in accordance with the requirements of ISO 22196. The antibacterial tests conducted by the manufacturer of the Screen Protectors have established that the Screen Protectors are effective against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. For further information on the SIAA Marks, please refer to “What are SIAA Marks?”
- The Screen Protectors are not effective against viruses such as the COVID-19 Virus.
