Ricoh Australia Named Finalist in ARN Innovation Awards for Sustainability
Ricoh Australia has been announced as a finalist in the Innovation for Good – Sustainability category in this year’s ARN Innovation Awards.
The ARN Innovation Awards 2024 recognises the contributions of industry-leading organisations that are making a positive societal impact, particularly in the areas of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and Sustainability within the IT sector.
Representing the entire Australian ecosystem, 265 finalists (including 80 individuals) make the shortlist from a pool of over 123 organisations, representing the industry’s finest, spanning partner, start-up, vendor and distributor businesses.
At the core of Ricoh’s recognition in the ARN Innovation Awards is our "Comet Circle" model, which drives our commitment to creating a truly circular economy. This approach covers every stage of a product’s lifecycle, from design and manufacturing to recycling and disposal, ensuring that sustainability is embedded in every aspect of our operations.
This year alone, Ricoh has launched 2 key initiatives to further enhance our environmental impact. We’ve partnered with Close the Loop to provide a comprehensive recycling program for consumables, making it easy for our customers to meet their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals while contributing to a more sustainable future. Through our Print Releaf Program, we also help customers reduce their environmental footprint by directly supporting global reforestation efforts, providing a tangible way to offset the impact of their printing activities.
Additionally, our recently launched flagship IM C Series multifunction printers are manufactured using 50% post-consumer recycled plastic, setting new standards for environmental responsibility in our industry. Furthermore, our PET toner bottles are made entirely from recycled materials, underscoring our commitment to sustainable innovation.
The winners of the ARN Innovation Awards will be selected by an executive panel of business leaders from partner, vendor and distributor organisations. They will be announced at a celebration dinner at Doltone House, Sydney on Thursday, 14 November.
